#BangladeshiLitMonth: Smol World of Women by Kashfy Ahsan

Review by Zaima Fariha Ontara

Strange small world of woman! This racing world that’s so unwelcoming to their sluggish feminine attitude. Yet, if you rest a bit, you often discover a different depth of the ocean they carry within. ——

In the book Smol World of Women there are 10 different stories, each having a different plot, all of which are regarding women. The writer has designed every single story with the lifecycle of women in mind, starting from birth to family, with marriage and profession in the middle. In the book, each and every woman depicted their love, emotions, sensitive nature, struggles, challenges etc. Also their strength, courage & how they stand up against the oppressions they face in every level! I felt every word was telling me deep down what a woman feels. I truly could relate myself. The book contains 10 heterogeneous stories. All the stories are written with different plot. Each and every story is heart touching. The impeccable description and portrayal of different emotions of people by the author will touch anybody’s heart.

My personal favorite stories will probably be :

 💫 Burning Her Bridal Bed

 💫 Temporary

 💫The Second Half

The rest of the stories are really great as well. As I was reading the stories I felt like I was being reintroduced to the known-unknown people of my surroundings. Thank you @Kashfy Ahsan for sending this book to me! I am utterly grateful. Looking forward to your next work. Best wishes.
